- Weekly winter farmers markets

We are excited to be at winter markets most Saturdays, all winter long. Green City market at the Peggy Notebaert museum (Fullerton and Cannon) in Chicago and the Evanston Winter market at Emmanuel Lutheran Church (lake and Sherman) in Evanston.

Our fruit and vegetable CSA shares are now available for home delivery. We are excited to be working with Chicago Currier to bring our wonderful produce to your door. This is the most convenient way to enjoy the best of what Nichols Farm has to offer.

We are excited to announce new Chicago CSA pickup sites in Wicker Park, Hyde Park, and Logan Square. New suburban pickups in Wheeling, Roselle, Naperville, and Lake Bluff.

Spring is right around the corner. Traditionally we are in the field planting with a tractor by the end of march. Hard to believe as it snows today. We have a high tunnel full of spinach and lettuce that with a few days in the 40s and 50s will be lush with new growth. By mid march we should be picking spinach.
Now is also the time we push for CSA signups. This year all CSA members receive 20% discount on all farmers market purchases. We are also expanding our Localthyme.com membership for CSA members. Recipes and tips are supplied for the content of every weeks CSA share. Sign up today.

By joining our CSA you get a vast assortment of fruits and vegetables packaged and delivered to one of our more than 25 different pickup sites in Chicago, Evanston, Wilmette, Glen Ellyn, Elmhurst, Hinsdale, Wheeling, Naperville, Roselle, Lake Bluff, Crystal Lake, Marengo, to name a few. Every week is different and new varieties of crops you may or may not have tried before. As a member of our CSA you are one of our best customers and by prepaying for a season of produce you help us, the farmer, deal with one of the biggest problems in farming. The huge outflow of money before any money comes in to pay the bills.
